Okay! Here's the second half of the Sketch Dump 6.

Just like the first one, risque stuff toward the end. Also some things I intend to work further on.

 I don't know why I included this one, but I it's the first time I attempted a more realistic style in quite a long time..

 Wanted to draw wind blowing the cloth/hair.

Maybe I just choose crappy brush settings in SAI, but sketches seem to look better when I do them in Photoshop..

 I like this one, but it doesn't feel like Futo to me, for some reason.

I'll definitely consider going back to this one, since I don't draw this kind of pose too often.

Sketch Dump 5.0

Another Sketch dump. Haven't done one of these in a long time.

I selected a bunch of sketches that I felt like sharing, even if a lot of them were terrible. There are quite a few of them, all of which are digital, since I no longer have a scanner for traditional stuff. I also decided to split it into 3 posts of around 30 sketches or so.

Anyway, expect weird, stupid and potentially NSFW stuff in these posts. (you've been warned)

An old drawing I almost forgot about.

Went with colouring on one layer again on this. I feel I should practice with this more.

Here's the sketch too, for some reason... I've been drawing a lot messier than this lately.

Colouring this took a lot longer that I thought it would. Nonetheless, I had fun drawing it!

A year of disappointments...

All the cool kids on pixiv were doing this, so I thought I'd make one myself, haha...ha...

Going back through my older works of this year though, I noticed constant changes in style month after month. I think I focused on trying to find a style, rather than overall improvement... Still there is improvement here, I think. That, I'm happy with, but there's a lot more I have to improve on.

Also, I noticed that I've rarely drawn any original stuff since February... 

It's all 100% Touhou now... This is what it has done to me!

I've been trying hard to get out of a slump I've been in recently. I haven't been able to get much done in terms of drawing due to being in an "art block" state, but I think I'm over it now.

Kasen Ibaraki from official Touhou Project comic 'Touhou Ibarakasen - Wild and Horned Hermit'.

I haven't really read this comic myself, so all I know about this character is basic information from the Touhou wiki, haha.

And continuing the Touhou "chibi" series. Do these actually qualify as chibi? I see people calling them chibis, in any case.

I started this one quite a while ago, but finished colouring it only recently. It was kind of rushed, but I guess with this style, you can't really tell the difference anyway.

Some practice thing. Painted on one layer for the most part. As usual, I had no idea what I was doing when drawing it, so I know there's a lot wrong with it. 

The majority of this was also live streamed, though the recording wasn't saved since I was just messing around to see if my crappy computer could handle screen capture without dying.

Touhou - Remilia Painting

I've not posted on this blog in quite a while. I haven't really been that busy or anything, I just lacked the motivation to do so. I'll update the gallery when I feel like it. So until then, there is a link to my blog's Picasa Web Album on the gallery page for now. I pretty much upload all my drawings there.

I started this back in January and worked on it little by little over the months. It's a bit rough in some areas but I felt like posting it as it is now. I'd like to do more stuff like this, but I feel so unmotivated lately. I have over 40 unfinished drawings that I've started this year and I don't feel like finishing any of them...

Painting process:

I then put a colour overlay on a new layer, then flattened it: ☆

More painting. Made some corrections, mainly with colour/contrast amongst other thing: ☆ 

Then from there it was just a lot of cleaning up... and cheating by adding another layer because I forgot to drop a shadow under her hand... I would have added more contrast and stuff to it if I were to redo it all. I had no idea what I was doing when I started it. Actually, still have no idea what I'm doing, but I have a lot of fun mindlessly painting stuff, haha.

I'll end my rambling for now. A catchup post is probably due for other stuff I've yet to post with more silly rambling, so that's something to look forward to, I guess.

Sketch Dump 3.0

Another sketch dump. These have been around for a while now. I was just too lazy to make this post. Some are pencil on paper sketches, some are digital.

That buxom megane girl I always seem to draw. She needs a name now, haha.

Doodle of a character from a comic that has been in my head for over 3 years now. lol.

I'll get to drawing that when I have enough confidence in both drawing and story telling though.

She has a twin sister who underwent something tragic, then... Okay. That's all I'm saying, lol.

MOAR Lorenza! The main heroine of said comic.

I  redesigned her a bit since I haven't drawn hew for a while. But she probably won't have short hair in the comic.

Another character in a story I recently wrote (and by wrote I mean planned entirely in my head. Yeah, that's how I usually do things, lol.) It's a pretty dark story, so I guess I shouldn't go into detail on it now, haha.

A 'Sonic the Hedgehog' thing. Might colour at some point.

I was also going to draw something from the "Dreamcast era" and the "Modern era" of the series in anticipation for 'Sonic Generations'. It's a bit late for that now, lol. I'll still go ahead with it though... probably.

A sketch that is a bit gory, (and by a bit, I mean quite a lot, sort of.) so if you don't like that sort of thing, I did you a favour by giving this warning, lol.

I'm currently working on trying various painting techniques at the moment. Painting is a lot more fun than the airbrushy stuff commonly seen in CGs, in my opinion. It just takes a lot longer, orz. It doesn't fit with my drawing style though, so I've already changed the way I draw a bit... I'll get to all that in a later post though.
